Facet Chair with Chapter President thought it a great idea to take a team of Crown Jewels over to do mission work.  
Chapter members volunteered to pay for their trip and to be able to serve in less than optimal conditions.


We traveled with the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church Medical Mission team to Retreat, Jamaica

July 2005 for a one week odyssey. While some left Charlotte novices with big hearts and willing spirits,

Working in the field, the 4 team members quickly became experts. The 2 providers were appreciative of the support of the chapter members to expedite the patient encounter process
Work involved:  Taking Case Histories, Dealing with bats and creepy crawlers, Blood Sugar Testing, Checking Blood Pressure, Visual Acuities, Height and Weight, Providing Medications for patients and  Providing Eyeglasses
